SUMMARY OF COMPLAINTS RECEIVED RECENTLY

On 4 th of May 2009 and on 6 th of May 2009 at the Office of the Ombudsman we received complaints from 56 people who brought Injustice complaints. Among these complaints we find those that are related to Land, Incomplete Judgments execution, unsatisfactory of Judgments execution conclusions, unpaid salaries and arrears as well as terminal benefits.

Concerning cases of judgments, complainers are advised and explained procedures they can follow as the Office of the Ombudsman does not interfere in Courts judgments procedures and decisions of their daily activities and does not change courts decisions.

The advice to complainers is like appealing, Case review and others. There are some people that come to the Office of the Ombudsman after exhausting judicial mechanisms but they keep on insisting. In that case, when the Office of the Ombudsman analyses their cases and finds out that the judgments were rendered lawfully, they are explained that the Laws were applied.

Concerning the judgment cases that have been not executed, the staff of the Office of the Ombudsman sometimes they call bailiffs by Phones, those are the Executive secretaries of sectors or those of Cells and they ask them to execute those judgments. These bailiffs are also encouraged and advised that they should usually settle people’s complaints without necessarily waiting for the cases to be brought to the Office of the Ombudsman.

People who have complaints that require investigations before taking decisions on them are asked to write them so that the Office of the Ombudsman can make follow up in the authorities concerned to solve those problems and thereafter give a report to the Office of the Ombudsman.
