The Ombudsman International Conference and 200th anniversary of the Swedish Parliamentary Ombudsman
During four days spent in Rwanda, the heads of delegations exchanged experiences and discussed on how they can improve their activities of the
Ombudsman worldwide. There made different presentations such as: The Ombudsman as the fourth power; The right to good Administration; The Role of Ombudsman in UEMOA (AMP-UEMOA); The Role of Ombudsman in SADEC; The Role of Ombudsman and Anti-Corruption strategies in EAAACA; The activities of Transparency Rwanda and Anti-Corruption Club in Rwanda.
In the closing ceremony, the Guest of Honor, Hon. MUKANTABANA Rose, the Speaker of the chamber of deputies asked the heads of delegations to be full of integrity as a basic of promoting transparency and justice. She said also that the embezzlement can not be eradicated when some countries are hosting the fugitive.
She asked them to put on their next agenda how countries can work together for arresting those kinds of people

The members of delegations have been received by different authorities such as His Excellency Paul Kagame, the Speaker of the chamber of deputies and the speaker of the Senate, In the courtesy visit to the Office of the President, they discussed about the function of the institution of the Office of Ombudsman and its role worldwide in promoting the good governance. In their visit to the upper chamber of Parliament, the Ombudsman were told how the both chambers of the parliament collaborate with the Office of Ombudsman in building the country based on the rule of Law.
