| Training of “Online declaration of assets system”. |

To receive annually the faithful declaration of assets of government officials and others that the law obliges to do is one of the missions of the Office of the Ombudsman as stipulated by the law n°25/2003 of 15/08/2003 modifying and complementing the law n°17/2005 of 18/08/2005. From January 2011, the Office of the Ombudsman has begun the online declaration of assets training of authorities and staff of public institutions who are concerned by the declaration of assets.
The online declaration of assets system is very important because any person concerned by the declaration of assets can do itanywhere provided he or she is connected to the internet. This new system will also save time, money and other materials on one hand engaged by the Office of the Ombudsman and the other by the declarers. The training on online declaration of assets system aims at explaining to declarers on how they will do it and return them through the Ombudsman’s website, how to fill, sign and send it to the email of the Office of the Ombudsman ombudsinfo@ombudsman.gov.rw and how to directly receive the acknowledgment. The training on online declaration of assets system is also an opportunity to get views on how it can be improved.
