According to article 182 of the Constitution of the Republic of Rwanda, one of the missions of Office of the Ombudsman is to receive the faithful declarations of assets of the government officials mentioned in the law establishing the Office:

The main activities ot the Unit are:

  • to prepare an asset declaration form;
  • to receive declaration of assets;
  • to examine the assets declared and their sources.
