PERMANENT SECRETARY: MBARUBUCYEYE Xavier
MBARUBUCYEYE Xavier Mr. Xavier MBARUBUKEYE, 45, was appointed Permanent Secretary at the Office of the Ombudsman on 13th December 2006, a position he has held to date. He holds a Bachelor of Commerce in Accounting and an MBA in Finance. He attended various seminars and workshops in the area of public finance management.
He served in Tax Administration from 1990 to 2001 where he occupied the following positions: Tax Auditor, Head of Division, Director of Tax Department, Commissioner of Tax and Commissioner of Audit and Investigation. He also worked as Director of Public Accounts in the Ministry of Finance and Economic Planning from 2001 to 2006.
Mr. MBARUBUKEYE has been a member of the Board of Directors of Rwanda Investment and Exports Promotion Agency (RIEPA) from 1999 to 2008.
