The Office of the Ombudsman responded to questions from the Parliament of Rwanda
on Thursday, February 6, 2020, on the invitation by Rwanda Parliament, the Office of The Ombudsman held a session with The Committee on Political Affairs and Gender in the Parliament on the matters identified in the Office of the Ombudsman's activities annual report for the year 2018-2019; where the Ombudsman commented on the questions asked by the Deputies.
The Ombudsman, Anastase Murekezi, told the members of The Committee on Political Affairs and Gender that they were very pleased with the cooperation that exists between the Office of the Ombudsman and different institutions such as the Parliament, the Ministry of Local Government, in the fight against corruption and injustice.
The Ombudsman, deputies and other officials from the Office responded all questions by deputies and made clarifications to the matters Report reported on.
Honorable Rubagumya Furaha Emma, Chairperson of the Committee on Political affairs and Gender, and her colleagues welcomed the report submitted by the Office of the Ombudsman, and they were satisfied with the clarification given to them.
The Deputies commended a suggestion from the Office that all institutions should increase the use of technology because it is amongst the best way of fighting against corruption and injustice.
