From 9th to 13th January 2023, The Office of the Ombudsman conducted the Anti-Injustice and Anti-corruption Campaign in all sectors of Gisagara District .
Most of the complaints raised by the citizens were focused on land-based disputes, those who have problems of not having court judgement executed, problems of illegal marriage which continues to cause the family conflicts, the citizens who claimed the compensation due to expropriation of Agencies like REG and WASAC, etc .

When launching the campaign, the Chief Ombudsman Nirere Madeleine urged the citizens to play their part in preventing and fighting injustice and corruption.
“Citizens, we ask you to avoid family conflicts, avoid and report injustice and corruption practices. You can report to the Office of The Ombudsman via a free phone call on 199 or send a free message to 1990”.

There was also a team led by the Deputy Ombudsman in charge of preventing and fighting injustice, Hon. Yankulije Odette who also joined the people of Musha, Kansi and Muganza sectors in the Gisagara District in the campaign while the team led by the Deputy Ombudsman in charge of Preventing and fighting Corruption, Hon. Mukama Abbas joined the people of Mugombwa, Mamba and Kigembe sectors, another Office of the Ombudsman staff team worked in Nyanza, Mukindo, Ndora, Save, and Gishubi sectors.

The Deputy Ombudsmen have explained to the citizens the functioning and powers of the Office of the Ombudsman and also urged citizens to settle their conflicts in a family.
