HUYE DISTRICT: MORE THAN 9000 STUDENTS IN SECONDARY SCHOOLS RECEIVED EDUCATION ABOUT ANTI-CORRUPTION VALUES
The Office of The Ombudsman is conducting the education campaign in Secondary schools of Huye District in the Southern Province. Students are provided with anti-corruption values for the future. They are explained corruption in details, It’s bad effects on the country, family and social life.
This education campaign is from this Friday 10th to Sunday 12th June 2022 and will equip students of 18 secondary schools with anti-corruption values that will help their generation to live in a corruption-free country.
Students in these schools were happy with this education campaign in their respective schools as it uplifts their knowledge about the evil of corruption. This is also the view of the headteachers, head masters/ stress who thank the Office of The Ombudsman for this initiative of lighting the paths of the next generation.
The Office of the Ombudsman of Rwanda commends the schools for providing the time and place for this campaign. BIZIMANA Patrick, the Acting Director of corruption prevention Unit in the Office of The Ombudsman said that it is time for youth to realize how good is to live in the corruption-free country and how bad is to live in a country devastated by corruption.

GS KOTANA in Rusatira Sector, students commended the work done by the Office of The Ombudsman for this campaign

GS KINAZI in Kinazi Sector, 937 Students received this training and they started an Anti-Corruption Club

613 Students in GS Butare Catholique were given detailed explanation of corruption and it’s bad effects

This Saturday 11th June 2022 in Lycée de Rusatira, 386 Students received this training and teaching on corruption.

656 Students of EAV KABUTARE/ KABUTARE TVET SCHOOL were eagerly waiting for this education campaign that helped them to start an ant-corruption campaign in their school

GS GATAGARA with 392 students has the specialty of receiving students with hearing disability who also attended the education campaign. They were happy to having received this education campaign.
During this education campaign, 9,241 students attended and received anti-corruption messages and this is in line withat Rwanda's Vision 2050 of being the first country with least corruption cases globally.
