Integrity week in Western Province was held from March 27 through 31st by the Office of the Ombudsman. Discussions with District Leaders from Western Province, Radio Live Talk shows at Isangano Radio, and Radio Rubavu, and educating and instilling University Students(ULK Gisenyi) on Anti-corruption and Anti-injustice values are the most important activities in the week.
Integrity week has the theme of Promoting Integrity: The Individual, the Organization, and beyond in preventing and fighting injustice and corruption.

Closing this week on 30/03/2023 at Rubavu District, it was attended by the Chief Ombudsman Mrs. Nirere Madeleine, the Governor of the Western Province HABITEGEKO Francois, and the District Leaders of the Western Province and others from the various Institutions both private and public.

In his welcome remarks, the Governor of Western Province Habitegeko Francois praised the Office of the Ombudsman for this campaign to promote integrity, and reminded the meeting participants that a Leader who has the values of Integrity avoids injustice and corruption.

Opening the meeting, Chief Ombudsman Nirere Madeleine said that honesty and truth should be the characteristics of any person, especially a good leader.
She said, "In short, a good leader must be honest, professional, bring positive change (keeping his/her mind open) and love the country (patriot). He/She must also provide a line for people and help others work together (Team work), and achieve goals (Efficiency).”
