Musanze: "We have discovered that the Districts' Anti-Injustice campaigns have been more productive." Chief Ombudsman said
From March 20 to 24, the Office of the Ombudsman conducted a campaign to prevent and fight injustice and corruption (Anti-Injustice campaign) in all sectors of Musanze District in the Northern Province.
When The Chief Ombudsman launched this campaign, the residents of the area brought to her complaints mainly related to gender-based violence, property-based violence, land-related issues, and others.

According to the Chief Ombudsman, Mrs. Nirere Madeleine, there have been a lot of changes as a result of the campaign being implemented in various Districts to prevent and fight corruption and injustice.
"The program of Anti-Injustice campaign in Districts and found citizens in their sectors is very productive because we educate the people but also listen to their complaints, each complaint is given a line or an answer, it is a program that is very important because we understand and analyze the problem at its core and listen to the witnesses and go to the place where the complaint is, if necessary," she said.

Deputy Ombudsman in Charge of Preventing and fighting Injustice Mrs. Yankulije Odette who also participated in this campaign asked the people to use ways and means to resolve disputes including Umugoroba w’Ababyeyi, Community Assemblies, and other means before opting for the courts' proceedings because it impoverishes families.

The Northern Province's Governor, Ms. Nyirarugero Dancille, praised the Office of the Ombudsman and informed the citizens that it aids Local Institutions in resolving citizen problems, particularly those that have been left unresolved by other Institutions. She also assured the public of the Province's and the Office of the Ombudsman's cooperation in continuing to monitor and address "the citizens' complaints."
