From 19^th to 20^th December 2022, the Office of The Ombudsman hosted the 24^th Executive Committee Meeting (EXCOM) of Eastern Africa Association of Anti-Corruption Authorities (EAAACA). The meeting was chaired by Hon. Nirere Madeleine, Chief Ombudsman of Rwanda and President of the Association.

In her communication at 24th EXCOM, the Chief Ombudsman of Rwanda and EAAACA President welcomed the members of the EAAACA EXCOM at Kigali and she thanked them for attending the meeting as a sign of commitment to the Association and the Regional collaboration.

The EAAACA President underscored that as members of the EXCOM it is important for them to reflect on their role and function to the Association which includes to provide strategic direction to the secretariat.

She recalled that they need to find ways of positioning themselves at the Regional and International levels and promote the Association.

On Tuesday 20/12/2022, the Chief Ombudsman of Rwanda and President of EAAACA Nirere Madeleine concluded the 2-days 24th Executive Committee Meeting (EXCOM) of Eastern Africa Association of Anti-corruption Authorities held in Kigali.

The Chief Ombudsman commended the members of EXCOM for their role, commitment and contribution to the development of the Association.

The EXCOM confirmed and approved that the next 15th EAAACA Annual General Meeting will be held in Burundi March 20-24, 2023 under the Theme " Strengthening Asset Recovery".
