Southern Province: Citizens are urged to promote honesty and integrity to prevent and fight injustice and corruption

From Monday 20 to Friday 24 June 2022, the Office of the Ombudsman launched a campaign in the Southern Province to promote integrity in the prevention and fight against injustice and corruption.

The theme is: THE ROLE OF INTEGRITY IN THE FIGHT AGAINST INJUSTICE AND CORRUPTION, the Office of the Ombudsman has urged residents of Muhanga, Ruhango, Nyanza, Gisagara and Huye districts to promote integrity in the fight against Injustice and corruption.

Some of the highlights of the week were the live broadcasts on RC HUYE and Radio Huguka, talks with students and leaders in Districts including Mayors

At the end of this week dedicated to the fight against corruption, The Chief Ombudsman Hon. Nirere Madeleine pointed out that the Southern Province often score high on anti-corruption and anti-injustice measures, but it should not be limited to this because the culture of honesty should characterize leaders in all sectors.

Mr. KAJANGANA Jean Aimé, Head of MISOU Unit in the Office of The Ombudsman, explains that this Campaign has been of great benefit to the leaders but especially to the youth as Rwanda's vision to be the world's leading anti-corruption country By 2050, the youth will be the most influential people in that time.

He also thanked all the institutions involved in the campaign and called for the promotion of a culture of integrity.
