Staff of the Office of The Ombudsman met General Fred IBINGIRA for the discussions on the heroic values of heroes of Rwanda
Wednesday 31st February 2020 at The Office of The Ombudsman, General IBINGIRA Fred discussed with the staff from the Office on the proven integrity, patriotism, sacrifice and acts of bravery of the heroes of Rwanda. This was in the context of celebrating the 26th National Heroes Day on the theme: ‘Our Heroism, Our Dignity’’
General said that heroism acts are the results of different causes that obviously include fighting Injustice. Addressing the staff of the Office, General Fred reminded them of their mission of fighting Injustice and corruption and asked them to fulfil their duties in order to maintain what the heroes achieved years ago.
The Ombudsman, Anastase Murekezi discussed the heroism of the King MUTARA III Rudahigwa baptised Charles Léon Pierre who disliked injustice as it was manifested during the King’s Court daily work.
Closing the session, the Ombudsman commended the work done by the Chancellery for Heroes, National Orders and Decorations of Honor as well as General Fred IBINGIRA for the amazing discussion and skills delivered to the Staff of the Office of the Ombudsman.
Rwanda's National Heroes are classified into three categories named in Kinyarwanda as Imanzi, Imena, and Ingenzi.
