From 02^nd to 05^th Feb 2022, The Office is training different categories of the population on the evil of corruption and injustice as well as good conduct for authorities.

Trainnees were from different sectors of Huye, Muhanga and Gicumbi Districts

During these trainings participants were encouraged to become more involved in preventing and combating injustice and corruption by installing an ethical behavior in their daily life. Particularly, Mediation Committees (Abunzi) were explained how corruption manifests itself and the role of each and everyone in the fight against it, to better fulfil their mediation responsibilities towards the citizens.

These committee members are so important in the community as their decisions during the mediation could be enforced once not appealed to primary courts and the enforcement could have a great negative impact on the lives of the citizens once their decisions are corrupt.

The members commended the Office of The ombudsman for training them on the evil of corruption and how the integrity helps to fight against it.
