The Office of The Ombudsman of Rwanda has shared the corruption fight experience with the delegation from the United Republic of Tanzania

This delegation was explained that fighting corruption is possible
The delegation led by the Director General of PCCB (Prevention and Combating of corruption Bureau of The Republic of Tanzania: Taasisi ya Kuzuia na Kupambana na Rushwa), Commissioner of Police SALUM RASHID HAMDUNI, came to learn about Rwanda on various sectors including how Rwanda is dealing with the crime of corruption, especially considering the measures put in place to fight corruption.
This delegation was explained how the Office of the Ombudsman was established, the authority of the Office of the Ombudsman, Rwanda Anti-corruption policy implementation, Practices and measures which have been put into place to fight against the corruption.

The Director General of PCCB commended the strategies of Rwanda in fighting corruption
The Director General of PCCB commended the strategies put in place by the government of Rwanda in preventing and fighting against corruption namely but not limited to Asset declaration, Establishing Anti-corruption committee in different Institutions.
The Chief Ombudsman of Rwanda Hon. NIRERE Madeleine welcomed the delegation and told them that Political will and strong leadership, the active role played by the Office of The Ombudsman, and effective governance reform have made Rwanda’s anti-corruption activities successful.

Chief Ombudsman commended the efforts of Tanzania in combatting corruption
“Rwanda's achievements in its fight against corruption can be attributed to several factors, including political will, awareness campaigns, and enforcement of laws.” The Chief Ombudsman added.

The government of Rwanda has effectively combated corruption by creating a culture of transparency and accountability while making the cost of getting involved in corruption high.
