This Thursday the Office of the Ombudsman trained Sectors’Land notaries and Inspectors of constructions on the evil of corruption.

This training is being conducted respectively in Huye, Muhanga and Gicumbi districts whereby notaries and inspectors were explained how corruption manifests itself and the role of each and everyone in the fight against it, to better fulfil their responsibilities, to strengthen their efforts and to address corruption issues in their respective Institutions.

The total of 62 Sector Land notaries and Inspectors of constructions in the three districts.

Notaries and inspectors have been amongst suspicious as many cases revealed that some of them asked for bribe/ corruption from service seekers.

The training organized by the Office of the Ombudsman provides an opportunity to explain to participants the dangers of corruption and explain to them the importance of adopting the integrity, their ethical behavior as well as the opportunity to exchange views on appropriate and effective strategies to prevent and combat injustice and corruption, it is also an occasion to better understand each and everyone's responsibilities to prevent and combat it.
