The Ombudsman meets Her Excellency The British High Commissioner to Rwanda

This Thursday 18th March 2021, The British High Commissioner H.E Jo Lomas, paid a courtesy call to The Office of the Ombudsman of Rwanda along with BHAVIK Shah, the head of political affairs in the Embassy.

In line with this visit, the Ambassador and the Ombudsman with her Deputies, discussed the role of the office of the ombudsman, its function, projects running on access to Information and some challenges as well.

In order to promote anti-corruption and anti-injustice values among the population, the Office reiterated that soon the focus will be on educating children and youth in primary and secondary schools across the country

The Office of The Ombudsman reiterated that Rwanda is doing well in fighting Corruption and Injustice in East African region and Africa and this is the results of the best Leadership of H.E Paul Kagame. The Office also thanked the High Commission for its role in helping Rwanda in controlling public revenues through RRA.

H.E High commissioner appreciated the great work done by the Office of The Ombudsman and appreciated all collaboration between the two bodies in terms of trainings on Access to Information.

The Office of The Ombudsman also told the commissioner of its plan of promoting the culture of Anti-corruption values within primary and secondary school students.
