On Monday, June 28th , 2021, the Chief Ombudsman and the Deputy Ombudsmen and other staff of the Office of the Ombudsman declared their assets to the Bureau of the Senate of Rwanda as provided by the Law governing the Office of the Ombudsman in its article 37.

The president of the Senate Dr. IYAMUREMYE Augustin appreciated how the Office of The Ombudsman carries out its mandate of fighting corruption through Asset declaration. He also commended the fact that the Ombudsman and the staff of her office submit their assets booklets to the Senate for verification. This shows the transparency and the politic of good governance led by H.E Paul Kagame.
