The Rwandan Parliament approved the Annual Report of the Office of the Ombudsman for the year 2021-2022
As stipulated by article 26 of law governing the Office of the Ombudsman, this Wednesday October 26, 2022, the Chief Ombudsman of Rwanda Madeleine Nirere presented before the joint Plenary Sitting the Annual Report 2021-2022 of Office of the Ombudsman and Action Plan of 2022-2023

During the presentation of the report
In her presentation, the Chief Ombudsman has explained to the parliament the contents of the report, which includes some of the most important complaints lodged to the Office of The Ombudsman.
Some of them are land related issues, the citizens who do not receive the compensation due to expropriation, some entrepreneurs hired the people for labor and leave them without paying; etc.
Members of Parliament got all clarifications on the report
After receiving this report, the deputies and senators gave different opinions, recommendations and questions and some of them have be answered and others given as advice that the Office of the Ombudsman should implement.
The Chief Ombudsman explained to the parliament that the provided advice will be implemented to improve performance in the fight against corruption and injustice at all levels.
The Parliament approved the Report and sent it to the Commissions of both chambers for detailed analysis and the Commissions will present it later to each of Chambers.
